The Responsible Dog Ownership Programme (RDO) is a course of basic obedience (sit, heel, down, stand, recall and stay exercises) conducted by the Ballaarat Dog Obedience Club Inc.

The course includes lectures from a local vet, a dog behaviourist, the Ballarat City Council Animal Bylaws Officer, a session on grooming your dog and a supervised walk with your dog around a shopping centre.

Everyone who passes the full 8 week course will receive a graduation certificate.

Dogs entering the class must be registered with a municipal Council and vaccinated.

Dogs cannot enter class until a current Council registration (tag) and vaccination certificate have been sighted by an authorised BDOC Officer. These should be presented on enrolment night.

Participants are not required to join the club. However, we do ask that you make a commitment to attend for the whole 8 weeks of the course.
