TRACKING AND SEARCH TEST 1 – TRACKING AN UNKNOWN PERSON

Length of track: Approximately 800 metres on varied surfaces

Start: A line between two points

Changes of direction: Four

Articles on track: Two

Diversion track layer: Walks with the track layer for 30 metres

Minimum time for commencement of track: 60 minutes

 

TRACKING AND SEARCH TEST 2 – TRACKING AN UNKNOWN PERSON

Length of track: Approximately 800 metres on varied surfaces

Start: A line between two points

Changes of direction: Four

Articles on track: Two

Diversion track layer: Walks re-walked after track layer for 30 metres

Minimum time for commencement of track: 120 minutes

 

TRACKING AND SEARCH TEST 3 – TRACKING AN UNKNOWN PERSON

Length of track: Approximately 1000 metres on varied surfaces

Start: A line between two points

Changes of direction: Four

Articles on track: Two

Diversion: Minimum of three people may wander around and cross the start line

Cross track: Track must be crossed twice by one or two unknown persons

Minimum time for commencement of track: 120 minutes

Length of track: Approximately 1200 metres on varied surfaces

Start: Contaminated point such as road-end

Changes of direction: Four

Articles on track: Two

Minimum time for commencement of track: 120 minutes

 

TRACKING AND SEARCH TEST 5 (URBAN TRACK) – TRACKING AN UNKNOWN PERSON

Length of track: Approximately 800 metres on varied surfaces such as streets

Start: The exact starting point should be known to the handler i.e. a residential gateway

Changes of direction: No more than five

Articles on track: Nil

Minimum time for commencement of track: 120 minutes

 

TRACKING AND SEARCH TEST 6 (URBAN EVENING / NIGHT TRACK) – TRACKING AN UNKNOWN PERSON

Length of track: Approximately 800 metres on varied surfaces such as streets

Start: The exact starting point should be known to the handler i.e. a residential gateway

Changes of direction: No more than five

Articles on track: Nil

Minimum time for commencement of track: 120 minutes

 

TRACKING AND SEARCH TEST 7 (URBAN TRACK) – TRACKING AN UNKNOWN PERSON

Length of track: Approximately 1000 metres on varied surfaces such as streets

Start: The exact starting point should be known to the handler i.e. a residential gateway

Stop: At a point selected by the judge the dog will halt and wait for a period of 2 minutes

Changes of direction: Five

Articles on track: Nil

Minimum time for commencement of track: 240 minutes

 

TRACKING AND SEARCH TEST 8 (URBAN EVENING / NIGHT TRACK – TRACKING AN UNKNOWN PERSON

Length of track: Approximately 1000 metres on varied surfaces such as streets

Start: The exact starting point should be known to the handler i.e. a residential gateway

Stop: At a point selected by the judge the dog will halt and wait for a period of 2 minutes

Changes of direction: Five

Articles on track: Nil

Minimum time for commencement of track: 240 minutes

 

TRACKING AND SEARCH TEST 9 (URBAN TRACK) – TRACKING AN UNKNOWN PERSON

Length of track: Approximately 1000 metres on varied surfaces 80% of which is a hard surface i.e. roads

Start: The exact starting point should be known to the handler i.e. a residential gateway

Car phase: At a point selected by the judge the tracklayer will travel in a car for 200 metres. This portion of the track should include a cross road and a turn

Changes of direction: Seven

Articles on track: Nil

Minimum time for commencement of track: 180 minutes

 

TRACKING AND SEARCH TEST 10 (URBAN EVENING / NIGHT TRACK) – TRACKING AN UNKNOWN PERSON

Length of track: Approximately 1000 metres on varied surfaces 80% of which is a hard surface i.e. roads

Start: The exact starting point should be known to the handler i.e. a residential gateway

Car phase: At a point selected by the judge the tracklayer will travel in a car for 200 metres. This portion of the track should include a cross road and a turn

Changes of direction: Seven

Articles on track: Nil

Minimum time for commencement of track: 180 minutes
